Bonefish Boats launched its new Malvado 26 bay boat today after several years of development. The boat's aggressive styling combines features from a traditional bay boat with the "open" style made popular on the west coast of Florida. The boat features a 6' wide fish box, casting deck, jump seats, enclosed head, lockable rod lockers and baitwells both forward and aft. Unique features of the new model include under gunnel storage for fully assembled fly rods as well as phone charging stations on both sides of the forward fish box. As the name Malvado suggests (Spanish for wicked or evil), the boat has a bad side...offering owners top speeds in excess of 70 mph depending upon power and prop. Equipped with a Mercury Verado 350 and a 21 pitch Revolution 4XP stainless steel propeller, the boat planes in seconds and climbs to a top speed of 65 mph. Even more impressive is that she can maintain cruise speeds of 33 mph at 4.1 mpg and 40 mph at 3.6 mpg.
